Entry for a contest Beyond the Frontier - Unknown Moons
The Contest rules can be found in news >> [link]

The rise of the Rubix Moon in Calisto nebula is always accompanied by meteors displays and skies on fire ;) it is the gravitational field shift, what pulls the meteors. Luckily they don't reach the planet surface, just burn and dissolve in the atmosphere and give stunning 'fireworks effects' to
watch.
No wonder everybody calls Rubix the red moon.

Stock used in the image:
nebula and meteors >> =Moonchilde-Stock
moon/planet >> ~Burning-Liquid
space dust brush made from apo nebula by >> ~Fune-Stock

Painting, composition done is Photoshop7 by Me :D
Enjoy !!

 So beautiful, it has a great composition, lots of movement and cool colors, it's a shame that the quality of the moon/planet is worst than the rest of the things of the image :tears:

Yes I know the planet - moon is huge !!!
That's a problem with enlarging things to bigger scale, maybe I'll
see if I can fix things a bit ;)
another sneaky thing which occurred to me is - the moon will be visible
thru the atmosphere so it would be a bit phazed-out and blurry even
when it's closer then the sky above...

:ohnoes: I didn't know you enlarged it... if you need high res satellites/planets you can always use other resources here, or the ones in some NASA websites, like [link] , I remember you can use them commercial purposes [link]

Don't worry about the fading, is like a space-fantasy manip, looks cool how the planet/moon cuts the sky :)

Alice yes, and no to Oz, this is something i think i could definitely not see up to your taste. I always the thought the books explained a lto more than the movie ever could.
But there i go with my book thing.

tons of layers painting, blurring adding tiny details ...whhoooaaa
pretty much as though as fractals
