INSPIRATION STATION pt2

Inspiration Station is a joined community effort - started up by our new fractal gallery volunteer Light SuicideBySafetyPin
It features artists, who made an impact on the Fractal community, either via inspiration of artworks or selfless attitude of helping
others & coding programs we all enjoy and use. I would like to introduce the featured artists by using quotes from published journals.
Welcome to pt2

:icondark-beam:  LucaGN

SuicideBySafetyPin  says "if you have tried the program mandelbulb 3d chances are you have used one of the formulas from ~LucaGN take a look at
this fabulous gallery and give the program a try for yourself ;0"

esintu  says"I remember featuring one of his works in my hipster mandelbulb journal some time ago (the first fractal displayed here).
He's a big name for Mandelbulb3D after all, I'm being told  I don't have much experience with that particular program, so I wouldn't know, but his gallery
offers some pretty nice UF fractals as well, which I will now share with you.

IDeviant says"Whilst I claim no expertise with the software, what's immediately clear from looking at dark-beam 's work are the unique results he obtains, particularly with Mandelbulb3D.
Here, we have a twist on the familiar Menger structure, the delightful surrealism of 'New mooncandy', and some amazing colour and texture work in 'Mystic place'.
UF and even the occasional Apo are quite unlike their run-of-the-mill material - inspirational indeed!"

cyberxaos says  "This week ^n8iveattitude1's fractal flash mob selection is ~LucaGN.  She tells me that "he wrote practically all of the formulas for mandelbulb 3d"

Jimpan1973 says "This weeks feature is LucaGN. He has some amazing Mandelbulb 3d images in his gallery. Definitly wort checking out!"

LeXXe says A person has received from Chiara hug , can tell you it is a great person worthy of every respect, and not just in her works
Chiara dear friend to our community. Her work is just a small part of her soul

Lucy--C saysI'm very happy to feature Chiara's fractal art. Her magical and inspiring work always leaves me speechless: wonderful flowers in Ultra Fractal and Apophysis (especially the 3D ones! ), great use of colors, light and blur.

SuicideBySafetyPin says once you make contact with Chiara it doesn't take you long to realize she is just amazing...kind, considerate, and always willing to help anyone learn to make fractals.... you are awesome *lindelokse and the fractal community is blessed to have you in our midst...i am honored to call you my friend!

Velvet--Glove says It's been a pleasure to have a good look around Chiara's gallery... here is a small selection of artwork that happened to catch my eye (how can I not love her flowers, she does them so well!)... she has many more lovely works in her gallery so do go and check them out!

Yasny-chan says Yep my friend, today I will feature a super awesome girl, her name is Chiara butttt in the fractal world you can find her as lindelokse
I'm sure you know her! she's one of the most amazing fractal artists I've ever met, furthemore she's not only amazing in fractal, she's amazing as a friend, as a person.
If you need help with fractals she will be there always smiling  So yes, I adore her and what? I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Fiery-Fire says Today's Inspiration station is dedicated to one of my personal faves Chiara known to everybody as lindelokse
I have met Chiara on devart, sometime in 2008 when her gallery was slowly switching & filling up with apo  She always has been truly wonderful, enthusiastic, helpful & surprisingly humble. To find a fractalist like this is rare (not mentioning person  ).
She brightens up the chatroom with talks of nice italian pizza with awesome fresh cheese & side salad, as any italian fractal artist should!!
She loves ponging and sharing what she discovered in apo, as well as UF
Her gallery is filled with sparkles & enchantment - and I simply adore her !!
While making this Inspiration station 'flash' I wanted to give you a taste of her gallery, and this is what happened - just a few of my personal faves grew to impressive feature  Well I can't help it, if I could I would have all her deviations in my journal and for a good reason - they all sooooo good, you will be oogling at them again & again, as I often do !!
Here is to you Chiara !!!  Ciao !!

:iconjoelfaber: & :iconmichaelfaber:  Joel & Micheal Faber

IDeviant says on every page, you'll find fractals that launched new styles, exemplars of existing styles or something never seen either before or since.
Both are true Apophysis masters and have contributed immensely to the software's development via the creation of hugely popular plugin variations as well as defining the standard for the plugin architecture itself.
Go trawling through their galleries for some real inspiration!

lindelokse says I bet you already heard about them before, but if you didn't, you should really do yourself a great favor and run to pay an accurate visit to `JoelFaber's and `MichaelFaber's galleries!!! I do really have to thank both these awesome guys for inspiring and fascinating me so poignantly with their artworks, and being such great fractalists to aspire to. These are probably the two first names I read when I first found fractal art on deviantART, and these are the first names that come to my mind when I think about Apophysis flames... and all those great plugins! Fractal flames wouldn't be the same without them, half the fun half the awesomeness! So THANK YOU, heartfelt thank you !!!

milleniumsentry says This weeks Inspiration Station features the Faber brothers, Joel and Michael. I doubt they need much introduction, so I will let their work speak for me.
Hands down, `MichaelFaber produces some of the best flames on the net.
`JoelFaber too, seems to have a flair for the mathematic. Not to be outdone, his gallery is also full of gems.
Outside of their fantastic artwork, both have worked hard to bring new variations to the apophysis community. So pay their galleries a vist, you won't be disappointed.

Fiery-Fire says I would say, the 'wonder-twins' grew to be a real legend on devart  Everybody in fractal community, knows who Michael & Joel are, mainly thanks to all the plugins & initial apo-software versions, they have been submitting here as well as sourceforge.net
I did hang out with both fabers (as we call them) in our fractal chat #Aposhack - nice guys, crazy about their Vancouver & canadian hockey
To think about it, if MF didn't teach about splits-elliptic style in chat, where I first joined dA, I would not get the 200+ deviations in my gallery.
Thank you for all you doing - the plugins are super-cool always and yes, most of the things you can do with linear & spherical  aye !!!

SuicideBySafetyPin says since i started using apophysis both of these wonderfully amazing people have been on my idol list! they have both been in #Aposhack occasionally...the plugins they have made between them are the ones that everyone installs and uses....it's an honor to feature them today!

cmptrwhz says Have you heard of the Faber Brothers???? These guys are truly an inspiration to us all in that they provide many many plugins that we all use in the apophysis program. For the computer geeks among you all, the standard h header for the apophysis plugin was developed by these guys.

:iconinfinite-art:  Infinite-art

Velvet--Glove says This week's subject is Janet Parke. I personally owe a lot to Janet, whose online classes in 2006-7 opened the door to working with Ultra Fractal for me. So it is with great pleasure that I bring some of her work to your attention like this.
Janet's style of art is very recogniseable and sophisticated. Unfortunately she does not have a great many works in her DA gallery so as well as showing you some of her pieces I would also recommend you visit her website where you will see and enjoy so much more of her unique and very beautiful fractal art >> www.infinite-art.com/

fractek says This is a very special inspiration for me. Nobody has been a greater inspiration and mentor to me than Janet Parke. When I initially saw her artwork years ago, I was in awe at it's beauty. I wanted to learn how to do this technique so much! Janet showed me much kindness and gave me so much mentoring as I started to learn. She is and always will be the FIRST LADY of FRACTALS! I feel proud to know her!
thank-you Janet for everything you've ever done for me!

Lucy--C says Janet Parke has written almost all tutorials in the Ultra Fractal help file, and she's also known for her Ultra Fractal courses.

OutsideFate says You can't really say "fractal art" without "Janet Parke"
Janet is mostly known for the UltraFractal art courses and her stylish and beautiful art style that puts the class back into the fractal art gallery!

:iconplatinus:  Platinus

SuicideBySafetyPin says He needs no introduction....just look at these amazing images!!!!!!!!!

esintu says This guy is a great friend and is one of the first people that I chatted with at the #Apophysis chatroom as I was starting out. His Apophysis skills never ceased to amaze me (which, luckily for you, he offers at a discounted price right now - go check his journal), but on the less technical side, I have many of his works among my favorite fractal art of all time (that kinda sounds like the stuff's been around by ages but nevermind). And after close to an hour strolling his gallery and trying to get it down to 5, here are 5 of his works that are relatively unknown (under 40 favs). "Unknown" takes another meaning when you're looking at an ex-gallery director's gallery so spare me the eyerolls. The fourth thumb is from 2007, just for nostalgia, and the last one is one of his stunningly coloured abstract paintings.

MichaelFaber says Thanks for your work promoting dA and fractal art. Thanks for your continued efforts in teaching people to improve their art. You are an inspiration, Tavis!

cyberxaos says This deviant is some kind of platypus, I think? ;) And quite a talented one at that.Go give his fractals some love, and honor The Great Platypus by featuring his work in your journal too!

IDeviant says Looking back through `Platinus's galleries, helpfully labelled by year, we find an artist who's been consistently at the top of his game for a considerable time.
2007: the disorientatingly geometric Helter Skelter platinus.deviantart.com/art/He…
2008: a simply adorned but highly effective flipped disc Falling From the Ceiling  fav.me/d1npra3
2009: a superbly coloured and textured abstract Karma's A Bitch platinus.deviantart.com/art/Ka…
2010: the almost UF-like web of embedded gems that is Autumn Elegance  platinus.deviantart.com/art/Au…
2011: can't resist double-picking from this year! The tantalisngly titled Fox and Waterfall platinus.deviantart.com/art/Fo… Windows With Curtains  platinus.deviantart.com/art/Wi…
5 years of Apo brilliance! Want to learn how? >> platinus.deviantart.com/journa…

Fiery-Fire says `Platinus as a lot of you know, has been the on-going motor for this community for many years - great Apophysis (fractal) designer !!
Travii is super nice  - as far, as I can remember he teaches, tries to help out the newbees, is a part of online teaching academy with many students coming from our DA of course and enjoying the privilege of having their homewerk checked by Platypus
Also, as many of you shall remember he was - one of our beloved fractal gallery GM's - always fair, finding interesting compositions to show everybody as DD's. He is all around rounded, wonderful friend, for me ...almost since I started fractaling in apo 3+ years ago.
He runs many contests for the community, he frequents the chat #Aposhack where he makes live tutorial sessions and most of all, he is one of the people, who proved to DA community, that Fractal Art is heART, not just 'button pushing'
Here is to the last of Platypusessssss  all hail TRAVII
